Sports247.ng reports that the latest act of kindness from Ajibade came in the form of financial largesse to 11 young tacticians to attend the third batch of NIS/LSFA Coaches Certification Course.

Many mouths were left agape by this latest heroic feat from Ajibade, though it was not on the football pitch for either club or country.

While ‘The Girl With The Blue Hair’ is known for scoring remarkable bull’s eyes that help her club and the Nigerian women national team, Super Falcons, snatch crucial wins, she keeps showing that she also relishes scoring off the pitch with ‘goals for charity.’

Her latest sizzler in that regard left Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) chairman, Hajji Gafar Olawale Liameed excited and grateful, as he hailed the laudable efforts of this dashing lass, who is also fondly called ‘Rash’ by her admirers.

However, that was not the first time this devout Christain lady with a Muslim name would put her money where her heart is.

She has been known for such lofty efforts and huge communal impact through Rasheedat Ajibade Foundation, with a couple of internationally backed partnerships, which are all aimed at bringing better layers of hope and achievements to less privileged people.

Among the great effects she has provided through her foundation include a link-up with Plural Code to provide fully paid technical scholarships for needy youths in Lagos.

There is also a partnership with Balm Infus Clinic on initiatives to educate young players about health benefits and life sustainability strategies.

She has also made the best of the immense followership she enjoys on social media to bring succour, freebies, gifts, hospitality and welness to a plethora of people through her Stand Out With Rash campaign, which runs in conjunction with an online platform called Super Eagles Tracker.

These efforts in charity and social responsibility have been buoyed by remarkable achievements that this fleet-footed damsel has been able to pull off with her football skills.

Born December 8, 1999, in Lagos, Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade started her football odyssey at FC Robo Queens (2013-2018), then moved to Avaldnes of Norway (2018-2020), where she netted 12 goals in 39 appearances.

She then made the switch to Atletico Madrid in 2020, which marked a huge improvement in her stock, and she had already notched 16 goals in 54 games as of the end of October 2024.

Ajibade, who had earlier been a two-time winner of Nigeria Women Football Freestyle Competition, got her Super Falcons’ debut at the 2018 WAFU Women’s Cup of Nations.
That came with a dose of four years after her emergence in Nigeria’s cadet squad, Flamingos, for the 2014 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.

She then played at both levels of the Female Junior Mundial for under-17 and under-20 players in 2016.

Two years later, ‘Rash’ pulled off yet another double by featuring at the 2018 editions of FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup and African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON).

Soon after, Ajibade captained the Falcons for the first time in a 1-0 win over a clubside, Olimpija Lubjana of Slovenia, during a friendly match played in Vienna, Austria.

It was a befitting honour and recognition for a dutiful player, who has also starred for Nigeria at the FIFA Women’s World Cup (2019 and 2023) as well as Olympic Games in 2024.

Fortunately for Ajibade, as well as for her vociferous fans, the Falcons’ team, supporters of Atletico Madrid and Nigerians the world over, age still appears to be on her side.

So, as she approaches her 25th birthday on December 8th, 2024, the clarion call that resonates in various corners of women’s football is, ‘the girl with the blue hair is here to rule for a long, long, long time to come.’
