The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, has reacted to the defeat of his Vice, Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

Naija News had earlier reported that the presidential candidate of the Republican Party, Donald Trump, defeated Harris who contested on the platform of the Democratic Party.

Biden while addressing Americans at the White House on Thursday said he took this week’s electoral loss in stride and urged Harris’ supporters to keep for their agenda.

Recall that Biden had stepped down for Harris to contest against Trump after much pressure from members of his party not to run for second term in office.

Speaking at the White House, Biden said, “You know, we’re leaving behind the strongest economy in the world. I know people are still hurting, but things are changing. Together, we’ve changed America for the better.

“Now we have 74 days to finish the term, our term. Let’s make every day count. That’s the responsibility we have to the American people. Look folks, you all know it, setbacks are unavoidable but giving up is unforgivable. Setbacks are unavoidable, giving up is unforgivable.”

The nation’s 46th president is set to leave office on Jan. 20.
